The Kiwi Christmas Spirit

I just can’t wrap my head around it. This was the second time I did this, but still it simply felt wrong! It was almost Christmas and the sun set at around 21:30, temperatures of 20-26 Celsius, beaches and fish n’ chips, and no sign of Christmas whatsoever. I know there was not going to be any snow and snuggling around the open fire (and chestnuts roasting), still, it was just weird. So nothing got us in the Christmas spirit in New Zealand until we ran into this…

Dude, we felt the exact same way in Lima, Peru during Christmas ‘06. There just something not quite right about going to the beach on Christmas!
